“Through my experience as a psychologist I found that the traditional one-to-one ‘talk therapy’ approach wasn’t right for everyone. Some people didn’t want to come to therapy at a set time and place. For others, meeting face-to-face was intimidating and uncomfortable.
“Although most therapies are ‘talk’ therapies, writing can be an equally, and at times more, effective intervention. In fact many strategies from traditional ‘talk’ therapies can be easily adapted for writing. Because of this, myself and my colleague, Jenna Mayhew, established Write Write As Rain.
“At Write As Rain you can email me (or one of our other therapists) with any problem you might have, and receive a therapeutic response straight to your private email. You can email as a one-off or have an ongoing correspondence.
“No talking, no appointments, no travel and no fuss. Just straightforward, convenient and professional support when you need it.”
